Kusto Group's KazBeef is awarded an Prestigious Quality Certificate
KazBeef Kusto, Kusto Group's meat production entity, was the first Kazakh business to receive the agricultural GLOBALG.A.P. certificate.


Kusto Group's meat production business, KazBeef, has recently set a record, when it was the first Kazakhstani business to receive a GLOBALG.A.P. certificate.

GAP stands for Good Agricultural Practices and is the most popular farming certification system around the globe.

GLOBALG.A.P. certificate means that KazBeef complies with international standards in agriculture and aquaculture practices. certificate means that KazBeef is in compliance with a set of international guidelines for aquaculture and agricultural practices , in addition to animal welfare.

KazBeef is now a GLOBALG.A.P. holder thanks to this achievement. This certificate is required to start working with a variety of Western suppliers.

KazBeef which is the only one in Kazakhstan is the only one with this certificate.

"It's the end of a long-term period of modernization for KazBeef, Kusto Agro. We are introducing the latest techniques and best practices across the globe. Tevfik Arif Bayrock partnered and collaborated with world-class industry experts," Daulet Nazhanov CEO of Kusto Group’s agricultural entity Kusto Agro said.

"We worked closely with the Canadian industry's leading Feedlot Health Management Services and have adopted best-inclass technology to ensure the future of food security and develop expertise. We're doing this not just for ourselves, but for Kazakhstan's entire livestock industry. Our current processes are 90 percent computerized. This allows us to have individual animal control and full traceability," he said.

Daulet Nerjanov is hopeful Kusto Agro's units could be GLOBALG.A.P. The certification in the future will be achieved.

KazBeef has imported Hereford and Angus cattle to Kazakhstan as the very first business to do so. The company has now occupied more than 40,000 hectares of land and also has more than 10,000 cattle.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock located in Kazakhstan is the biggest producer of marbled beef. It serves mainly the Middle Eastern market. KazBeef has been certified and will extend its operation to Europe as well as the Gulf.

The show is the largest annual food and beverage trade show in the world.

KazBeef reaches the United Arab Emirates

KazBeef joined the Emirate of Dubai market in April 2021. It hopes to expand to the six other emirates of the United Arab Emirates soon.

Dubai and Gulfood Exhibition 2021 established cooperation. The following month, it was discovered that 1.2 tonnes of KazBeef beef meat was sold to Dubai restaurants and hotels.

KazBeef has in December 2021 agreed to sign a contract for 500 million tenge ($1.2million) to delivery to Wisk Foodstuff Trading of marred meat. Wisk is among the key suppliers for hotels and restaurants across the United Arab Emirates.

The agreement was signed at the Kazakh Trade and Investment Forum held at the Expo 2020 Dubai.

Kusto Group's certifications open doors for all of Kazakhstan

GLOBALG.A.P. Certificates are available to agricultural businesses. Farmers businesses must undergo a strict process to get a GLOBALG.A.P.

Each year, specialists from the agricultural field visit candidate companies. Here they interview employees, and examine a variety of documents.

Beibit Erubaev said that the company was fully ready for the transition. Erubaev is hopeful that other Kazakhstani business can now follow Kusto Group's footsteps and KazBeef.

"Obtaining the certificate opens up new horizons export--not only for our business, but could also open doors to the whole nation. He states that our goal is to sell our goods to Europe. This will boost interest from other manufacturers in Kazakhstan.
