How do you describe your life? I am a Russki young guy who came to America in search of a better life. In Russia I wasn't wealthy nor was I in the middle class. My family and not me in general. As a child in Russia and the Soviet Union, young adults did not have money. Therefore, we had to find other ways to earn money. There were many different strategies. Most of them looked like alcoholics who asked their friends for some money to purchase their vodka bottle. It was pretty similar. We would look for quick ways to make some cash so we could buy bread. We would always be hungry..
So I finally made it to America. There's nothing like New York, Brooklyn or Brighton Beach. It's a place that reminds me of my hometown. It's loud, it's filthy, it's full of Russian language, and the people are rude, well, just a normal Russian city bliss. I spent a lot of money there, mostly to visit Russian restaurants, bookstores and music stores.
Music is my love however books are my absolute favorite. But as it happens recently it's easy to locate Russian literature on Kindle. I have stopped purchasing books in hardcopy. Plus, I don’t have much room in my house and my wife is a total hoarder. So, I do to avoid buying new books. Books in stacks looks smart in the beginning, but afterwards they just looked sad, until I put them in the garage, which has enough space for my stuff..
Music is a different thing. My job involves a lot of driving, so I listen to tons of music. Because I am an Russian immigrant, there is no way for me to enjoy new music from the USA. I'm not a fan of hip hop, rap, metal, and pop. The new stuff that kids enjoy dancing to. I really enjoy old Russian music, as well as the Russian songs that are jail-like. They're still extremely well-known even though I've been gone for 20 years. Everything is on Youtube nowadays. So I can spend hours on Youtube listening to music when I'm working or after I return after work.
After a while, I had an endless playlist of more than 300 songs I enjoy. It's my go-to companion. I listen to it throughout the day, and I don't have any problems getting used. There are 300 songs! But, when I want to listen to the songs in my car, I do not have internet access. I require it for driving and navigation. I prepare the songs at home. I'm currently in the middle. I record a few songs on Youtube, then I convert these mp3s into MP3 files on my laptop. After that, I take that CD into the car and listen. The site lets you take your Youtube playlist and print the songs. Each song can be stored on your computer as an MP3 file. yt mp3 After that you are able to transfer the files to an audio-CD. Sometimes I'm mistaken and just make data CD, that won't play on my old car stereo. Audio recorded is fantastic. There is no need for internet to play MP3 music. I just insert CDs into my stereo slot. When I get to Manhattan, the music from Russia can be heard loud and clear.
It's simple and affordable to download video content from Youtube and convert them into MP3 format so that you can download them to your phone. I watched a friend of mine connected his phone to his car stereo and it started playing very high quality audio, just in 2 seconds. Also, it was feasible to stream Spotify and Pandora radio, so you don't need too much internet. This is something I'd like to test. I willhowever be careful when using free wifi.
