How to keep in touch with music from your home country even if life has been boring over the last decade

What's your life like? I am an Russki young man who came to America in search of a better life. I was very poor back in Russia. I wasn't close to the middle class. I wasn't rich at all. My family and not me in general. The young people of Russia weren't financially dependent as they were growing up. So, we had no choice but to find ways to make our own money. There are many schemes that resemble alcohol users soliciting money from their neighbors to buy their vodka bottles. The idea is similar. So, I came to America. However, it's not anywhere near New York or Brooklyn or Brighton Beach. The place is truly reminiscent of the home of my childhood. It's noisy, filthy, it's full of Russian speech, the people are rude, well it's a typical Russian city bliss. There are a lot of Russian restaurants, music and book stores where I've spent a lot of money at.

I love music as well as reading books. As of late, it's easy to locate Russian literature on Kindle. Therefore, I have stopped buying hard-copy books. My wife, who's an avid collector, doesn't have much space in her house and I try to stay clear of buying unnecessary things. Stacks of books looks intelligent in the beginning, but after that they only looked sad, until I moved them into the garage, where there's still some space left for my stuff..


Music is a different thing. Because I drive and work in a car, it is essential that I listen to plenty of music. Since I'm a Russian immigrant, there is no way that I would like new music from the USA. I don't really like rap, hip hop metal, rock, and pop. I don't also like the trendy stuff that children like to dance too. I am a huge fan of the old Russian music, and also the Russian songs that are jail-like. They are still extremely loved in Russia even after twenty years. Youtube has everything these days. When I get home from working, I can spend hours listening to YouTube music.

After some time, I discovered an endless playlist of more than 300 songs I love. It's my go-to companion. I can listen to it every day, and I don't have any issues getting it used. There are over 300 songs! But when I need to play them in my car, I don't have Internet to spare, I require it to drive or for navigation. I make all the preparations at home. I've in the middle of the list and I record a couple of songs from Youtube to mp3 files then I burn the mp3s onto a CD with my laptop, and then I take the CD into the car and listen. This website I found allows me to download an entire Youtube playlist and print all songs. Each song can be converted into mp3 and stored on my computer. It's then simple to convert it into an audio CD. Sometimes, I make an error and create a data CD. It's simple to transfer it onto audio CD. The quality of the recorded audio is incredible. I don't require internet to play MP3 music. I simply insert the CDs into my car stereo slot. When I get to Manhattan, the music from Russia can be heard booming.

It's cheap and easy to convert videos from Youtube to mp3 format, and then you can download them to your Smartphone. A friend of mine hooked his phone to his car stereo and the phone began playing high quality sound within less than two seconds. It doesn't require a lot of Internet to stream Spotify or Pandora radio. I think this is my next step to try. However, I'll be wary of using wifi that is free.
