Young DJs need to invest in high quality music. Training with MP3s with low bitrates is absurd.

I'm not DJ. This is what this has been my mantra. In high school and college I attempted DJing, but could only copy what was done elsewhere. Although it sounds great but it's really an uncut sound that has been compressed into the format of mp3. It is achieved through cutting out the highest and low frequencies. So the final sound is lacking something. The deepest house music that exists does not sound particularly rich when played at the rate of 320kbps. If you compare it to playing it from the vynil format - then the depth of sound can knock crystal glasses off the table.

New beginner DJs' shouldn't spend time (and possibly cash) in low-quality versions of the most popular songs. Beatport, Juno Download, and Fruity Loops offer great sound collections which can be used for remixes. If you include super bass to low quality mp3 the sound will be amazing, and have the deep, amazing bassline. This is the sound that mp3 lacks - amazing bass.
It is essential to realize that DJs shouldn't feel intimidated by this information. You can enhance your sound each day.
