Youtube is filled with incredible tutorials, and I love learning from them.

What have I changed about myself over the past year? It's my commute.. It's astonishing that the train is empty to work right now. A train ride lasting 1hr used to be packed with people, some even had to stand up, unable to hold back the sleepyness. Today, there is only a handful of people in each train car. Everyone works from home, or has no employment. Another unfortunate consequence of the epidemic is that many are losing their jobs. So, using the anonymity that comes with being one of the very few train users of this day, I have dived deep into tutorials aswell with various instructional guides. It's mostly this website packed with tutorials on different subjects, from creating a shadowed circle using Adobe Photoshop, and ending by stacking hundreds of effects, rendering 3D models with chrome and reflections.. A few of them are difficult to achieve at home. But, I am capable of following the directions and recreate the desired effects. This is all computer-related, therefore I am sorry if I have misled you. I'm not learning how Ikea furniture is put together or how to offer more efficient customer service. I'm learning about how I can improve my personal life and develop my capabilities.

Although I did learn how to lay grout and tile on the floor and walls about 12 years ago. I learned this all through YouTube tutorials and videos. My bathroom is stunning with new floors, walls as well as plumbing and fixtures new floor boards, and pretty much everything else that's new. The bathroom is stunning and I've never felt more confident having bathing. It's the most satisfying sensation in the world! That is what I think. But, it took me eight years to finish the project. I was on my own, and I learned as I went. Around 2 dozen tiles broke after I realized that tiles must be scored. Specially designed angular breakers must be used in order to make breaks in tiles along cut lines. It was a great tool that allowed me to cut short and narrow pieces of tile.

I would use the Youtube video downloader website to save an mp4 file onto an laptop. I would then put it up in the bathroom and start playing videos while trying to put into practice the skills I had accumulated to this task. I use the same method with my Ipad. I bring it along when I travel to view excellent tutorials that keep me entertained during long train rides. CSS has become my ally and I no longer fear it. I'm able to ninja punch someone when they are least anticipating it. This old guy and his channel have provided me a lot of great tips for e-commerce. Can't wait for my time off to try the various tips at home.

Dailymotion and Vimeo offer a variety of instructional videos. If the video isn't important I can create podcasts from these. I can also download them as mp4 files to my laptop, and keep going, pretending that everything is a tutorial in both the way they instruct and tech savvy how to do this type of instructions. Keep in mind that downloaded files are usually saved to the browser downloads directory. A lot of browsers save files to desktop and open folders by shortcuts, however you might need to be a bit more patient. I certainly do.
