Does this mean that home owners can not simply forego acquiring tenant signatures but must obtain "electronic signatures?" If so, what counts as an "electronic signature?" Digital signatures? PDFs? An e-mail from the tenant? In addition, the FAQs go on to state that form "HUD-9887/ 9887A, which is typically signed at the beginning of the recertification procedure and enables the owner/agent to begin validating documents, needs an initial, 'wet' signature." Does this mean that homeowner must continue to receive original signatures on kind HUD-9887/ 9887A? Other documents needed for recertification, such as paystubs, bank statements, and public assistance documents, can be sent through e-mail.</p>
