How do you avoid boredom during the late hours of the night security guards at underground facility

The times are difficult. It is difficult to navigate the gig economy. I was doing very well, before pandemic struck and now, in addition to my primary job as a dental assistant, I must accept a nighttime job as a security guard in a nearby manufacturing facility for machines. It is mostly automated, and workers are here in the daytime, but night crew only counts me and two engineers. I've got an emergency phone number I can call if there is an issue or machinery stops. I call engineers and/or outside line for additional engineers. I'm not doing anything. There's nothing to be produced here so night guard is really simply a glorified switchboard operator.

In any event, I do like it. It's quiet. I'm an extremely spooky sleeper. I frequently wake up due to too much gas release during the night. For instance, I have been practising this dance that I watched on Tik Tok for the last 2 weeks. It's not hard, however I find it difficult to recreate it. Recently, I've tried a variety of video tutorials for fixing cars. I don't have the ability to immediately apply them to my vehicle, but I do enjoy watching other drivers create their vehicles to stop stopping. DIY videos are just as instructive and easy. So I began to run into another problem. My phone would eventually stop working, and I was unable to play any video or do other activities. I was able to download Youtube videos, then save them on my phone, and then I was able to view DIY videos without internet access. It doesn't matter what site you are streaming from, where you store the videos on your phone, or whether you download them from home and then use your phone to stream it offline when there's internet connectivity. It's as easy as adding DVR to your online video.


In the spirit of TV, I've figured out how you can download new episodes or films directly to your laptop. My laptop is so much more efficient than my phones and the speakers I carry it to work. I recently signed up with HULU. Then I've got Netflix. It is possible to download the app, mark it for downloading, and forget it. Within a couple of hours, based on the length of the show as well as the quality of the options you select, the video will be downloaded and available to watch whenever you want, without internet access. Even though the show is just 15 minutes in length I still have the option of watching TV on the train to work.

Youtube's webinars on different strategies of self-improvement are great. But I find it difficult to understand the ideas they present in a one hour video. Sometimes I bring my young son to work with me on days when my wife is working her night shift too, making it impossible for us to remain with the child. I accompany him and put him in front of the computer's screen to check my own work. In a matter of hours, he's asleep. I get him up and provide him with my computer with a couple of songs. He's so content that he can watch the videos. It's how we can work better by doing our own thing.. He seems to like having me around. Maybe he's tired of sleeping all the night.
