My first inclination upon reading your note was to ignore it. It is full of misinformation & falsehoods undeserving of acknowledgement. I reconsidered as there are messages from you ( see attached) that refute your comments & I thought you needed to be reminded of same.
NEVER WAS THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND MENTIONED! You were very clear that you were providing for relatives coming to celebrate your father's birthday. As you can see by attached copy of note from you: you needed the "last week in May". "Discussed with parents". I had no input about dates other than to reserve the dates you specified. Your inference to anything otherwise, is not true. How would I even have known you wanted it for other dates? I wouldn't of course!
"Service not provided". Wrong. The house was cleaned & completely prepared for you and/or your guests to check in on May 25th. It was maintained & ready through today - your booked check out date- just in case you decided to make use of house. No one occupied the house at anytime during your week. So, we provided as promised. You opted not to avail yourself of the opportunity. Not our fault or failure to provide.
Because we had our property reserved for you, we had to refuse a wedding request for that week. Our revenue would have been considerably more than what you were charged. Using your logic should we add our loss to your charges?
Attached hereto is a check for you covering the $500 damage deposit & $200 cleaning fee.
Bottom line: you made a mistake. Own it! Quit trying to shirk your responsibility by blaming me. I plan to consider this issue closed. Further comment is not required.
