Israel group's fight against claims [Shurat Hadin]

A group of Israeli lawyers is urging Australian survivors and their families to sign up for its class-action lawsuit against insurance firms whose Holocaust predecessors from the past failed to fulfill their obligations to pay for policies held by refugees European Jews.

It will seek to bring insurance companies accountable who employed the chaos of World War II or the Shoah in order to avoid paying victims, survivors and their heirs.

Darshan-Leitner said US Senate estimates suggest as high as $US200 billion compensations were denied to Jewish policyholders by delinquent WWII insurance companies, many with traceable successor entities in today's market that have taken on the liabilities.

Shurat HaDin will use its expertise to investigate financial institutions, including banks that hold terrorist assets.

"We have initiated legal proceedings against banks, governments, and companies that have aiding or abetting terrorist acts. She stated she has the knowledge and is not unwilling to challenge corporations, countries or banks from around the world.

Additionally, Shurat HaDin is launching legal action in Israel to unlock the database of more than 140,000 Holocaust survivors and their descendants who have registered around two million assets as part of Israel's Project Heart from 2011-14. aviel darshan leitner , working with the Jewish Agency for Israel, offered applicants the chance to join the restitution program. Project Last Chance will be taking a different approach from the Claims Conference in 1951. The conference has petitioned nations for Holocaust repartition but is it has not specifically targeted firms or companies.
