How can you stay occupied while you work as an underground security guard for long hours

The times are hard. In the new gig economy, I am finding hard to navigate the same way as I used to before. I used to do extremely well prior to the outbreak of the pandemic and now besides my main job as a dental assistant I have to accept an evening security job at a local machine manufacturing plant that is close to where I live. The machine is mostly automated. Workers are available throughout the day, and I am a part of the night team. I have an emergency number that I call if something goes wrong and the machine is stopped without a clear resume time in sight. I call engineers, and/or call the outside line to get more engineers. I do nothing. There's no way they can produce anything worthwhile here. Night time guard is an unofficial switchboard attendant.

My heart was over the moon I was able download new episodes and movies onto my laptop. My laptop is much more comfortable than my desktop and comes with better speakers. I signed up with HULU, and Netflix. They permit you both to download their apps. After a while, according to the length of the show, quality options, and other factors the show will be downloaded onto the device. This will make it available anytime, anywhere, even without internet access. It's only 15 minutes long but allows me to catch up on the episode I was missing on the train ride to work.
