Title : Food & Catering Industry
Duration : 2-3 months
Role : Business process analysis & functional ERP consultant.

Tasks/ Challanges :
1. Inventory management was a biggest challenge and task for these type of industries.
2. Keeping stock count and movement of each ingredients items was a difficult task.
3. Purchase management for placing of timely orders to re-stock stores.
4. Defining recipe to make stock entry for defined proportion of ingredients used for each unit of finished dishes.
5. Managing daily orders based on subscriptions.
6. Decision making for chef regarding which dishes to cook and in what quantity.
7. Reporting of all the above challanges.
8. Doing accounting and keeping cost of goods sold accurate, So that an accurate profitabilty can be derieved.
9. After cooking of food, task was to pack them based on meal packages in right quantity and place a delivery details so that they get ready
for pickup by delivery person.
10. Drivers/ Derliver man assignment.
11. Invoicing and accounting.
12. Providing feature to make a special remarks like avoid any specific ingredients, allergic remarks, skipping of meals, providing
complementary meals, freeze subscription etc.
13. Data migration from old system to ERP Next is a challenge we faced.

Solution:
1. ERP Next has beautiful inventory management system including feature of Re-order level.
2. Stock entires are made for each movement of stock items in a ledger maintained for stock.
3. Purchasing with so much ease can be done with Buying module of ERP Next.
4. Reports customised for decisions to be taken by Chef, Purchase manager, Store manager, Sales team, packaging reports, Delivery detailed
reports etc.
5. Customised doctype where you will define the recipe of making final dish including total cost of all ingredients invloved based on
proportionate quantity.
6. Packages & Week day wise menu can be defined where which food items will be delivered on the given day falling under subscription
period.
7. Labels printing with details like address on that particular day for delivery, Which driver will deliver and on what day.
8. Assignment of driver and setting accountability with issue of Delivery note.
