If you are attending an online seminar with video sessions that are distinctive do not watch the videos. Instead you should download the video.
This applies to any live stream that is limited in time or only accessible to subscribers. This has not prevented me from using it. Since I use the mobile hotspot WiFi at the motel that is next to my home, I experience an extremely slow and intermittent Internet connection. I sometimes deliver water to their offices and grab their password which is updated every two weeks. This saves me money on my internet at home, plus I don’t have cable so it would be costly to install. I’m renting to be able to ask my landlord for the password. What's the process involved with having your own broadband internet? I just use the motel's internet connection instead. It allows me to be more stealthy. For all the things I do on the internet, it's recommended to have no street address.

If there's an online seminar that is exclusive, like that of my investment advisor or the university that has a visiting lecture with an eminent person, it's all the more. My slow internet connection hinders streaming video. When I finally download video to my computer , as I'll show how below, it generally requires 2-3 times the length of the video. As you can see my connection is very slow, only 30% of what I'd need to watch videos smoothly and without buffering interruptions. So I found a way to bypass that speed limit. I just saved the online video to my computer so that I could watch it over and over without needing to stream it again.




Here's the most recent I've done. I start the Chrome browser. Firefox, Safari and every other browser with an inspect tab. Right-click on the page. Call the page for inspect. Then switch to network and look for the file that plays the video. It's likely to be something that has the extension m3u8. The video stream then gets split into smaller files, which your internet browser downloads one at a time and plays them in their order. This ensures you have an uninterrupted stream. This is how the mpeg transportation stream works. It's quick and needs more data transfer that it has file sizes.



The playlist file can be selected by clicking right. I copy the URL address to the clipboard. Then I go to the site to download online video. After I copy the URL of the playlist I click the submit key. After a few minutes, I can see several download options. This will show the file's size and transfer speed. The file size will increase the more quality you choose. I'd rather pick low quality, even if it is too fast for my Internet.



I open the file and select it up as my download. It could take hours and the joy of knowing this is what keeps me motivated. I'm not able to tune in to the live stream so downloading online videos to my PC makes sense. I utilize it to stay updated on all available data. It's what I do to keep my brain stimulated by new ideas, ideas, and interesting technological futurities. This is how I bring it all to life by saving video and avoid wifi. I recommend you try that too. Smooth streaming with no buffering or lagging.
