A group of NPO Experts was formed in January 2018 to discuss the progress made by their respective countries in implementing the NPO principles and the emerging challenges. The group is comprised of 29 members representing countries with varying levels of NPO development. The group also engaged with select government representatives and the FATF Secretariat. During the meeting, it was also noted that the group was able to reach agreement on a number of recommendations.
For example, Lia van Broekhoven, the Executive Director of Human Security Collective, said that the group has offered to provide consultation services for 15 days for a fee of $50 (approximately Rs 8000) or more. They have agreed to provide expert opinion in a range of areas, including unit upgradation, staff capacity building, and cost reduction.
