From Kazakhstan to Fifth Avenue: How Tevfik Arif made use of the Trump Organization and Made It in the United States

Tevfik Arif Tevfik was born in Soviet Kazakhstan, but he moved to America in 2001 and created the Bayrock Group.

Many dream of moving to America in order to achieve success. However, only a small percentage are successful. One of those is Tevfik Arif.

The man who founded the luxurious real estate development company Bayrock Group and partnered with big brands like the Trump Organization was originally born in Soviet Kazakhstan. In Kazakhstan, he grew up with Turkish-trained parents as well as siblings.

Tevfik Arif, a young teenager from Pakistan, became interested in business and economics as his friends played football.

As he grew old, he immersed his self in his studies. He started to study International Relations at Moscow Trade and Economics Institute.

After he graduated, he started working at the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade. In the past, it was considered to be a very prominent employer among Soviet youths.

Tevfik Arif made his way through the ministry's ranks during the next 17 years to become the deputy head of its Hotel Management Department.

The Soviet Union only had a few positions in the government. This changed in the 90s after the union disbanded.

The Soviets were relocated to a new location behind the Iron Curtain.

Tevfik arif then took advantage of the opportunities created by the collapse of the Union.

He quit his government job and entered the private sector.

He founded numerous companies in the areas of automobiles and food, along with imports, outgoings, luxury realty development, and natural resources.

Tevfik arif's numerous ventures in various industries provided him with an impressive network. He moved to Turkey in 1993 due to this.

From all inclusive in Turkey to business on Fifth Avenue
Tevfik arif, the pioneer of the all-inclusive hotel concept in Turkey was situated at Labada luxury resort in Antalya.

Tevfik Arif was able to stay in Turkey until 2001 when Arif was transferred to New York City.

He wanted to be close to the American part of his family and to explore new business paths within the United States.

One of its initial initiatives was to renovate Loehmann's Seaport Plaza in Brooklyn's Sheepshead area.

The two firms established business ties and Bayrock Group included Trump Organization in a development project in New York City's SoHo area.

Tevfik ARif has developed a strategy for Trump Organization that would give them 18% stake in the SoHo building. The construction could also incorporate the Trump name in exchange.

The agreement was signed in 2006 between Bayrock Group (the Sapir Organization) and Trump Organization (the Trump Organization). Tevfik Arif Doyen Construction of Trump SoHo is expected to commence in the year 2006.

Tevfik Arif decided to move because of the 2008 financial crisis.
The 46-floor building opened for public viewing in the year 2008.

The interior of the building was a mix of hotels, apartments and bars, restaurants, banquet and event halls, spa facilities and an outdoor pool. Residents and guests had a breathtaking view of New York City from floor-to-ceiling windows.

Rockwell Group was responsible for the interior design . Handel Architects was responsible for the architectural design of the building.

Both firms have extensive experience in their respective areas.

Trump SoHo got off to an excellent start. The Trump Organization was inspired by this success to seek out joint ventures together with Bayrock Group.

They wanted to construct buildings both in Florida and Arizona using the same licensing terms as the Trump Organization. In exchange for Trump being added to their names, they'd get 18 percent equity in the building.

However, their dreams were never realized because of the financial crisis that struck the globe, and particularly the American real estate market, in 2008.

The financial crisis caused changes in the market, which made Tevfik Arif to leave the United States. Instead, he moved to Europe and Asia where his professional career began.

Even though he's retired today however, he is still as an advisor to Bayrock Group.

Today, Trump SoHo changed its name to Dominick. Tevfik Arif Doyen The Bayrock Group no longer owns the business.
