My kids and I travel with our kids. We can't always rely on Wi-Fi on top of the mountain so we have to make our own at home.

That's right, it was.. My kids believe the internet high in the mountains isn't very strong. Even though it's a tiny hill, it's within the normal range of cell phones so my children have to wander around looking for better internet. While my wife and me are setting up our small camp site. This area is perfect for us to stay for some time. There's a small stream close by that supplies fresh water, even though there isn't any. Yes, that too.. My wife cannot camp without a good supply of clean water and we carry our own most of the times.

While my kids check their Facebook profiles I'm enjoying the views. The hill isn't too huge. It's surrounded and dominated by other hills. To be in close proximity to Mother Nature, we visit here every once during the blue moon. These trips are among my favorites, and I'm the only one who loves them. My wife is the only one who insists on taking them maybe because she knows the joy I feel when I am out in the wilderness. My children are an entirely different story. Internet is sometimes unavailable. It's something that I find extremely annoying. Your streaming song can be interrupted by something within the cloud or other magnetic movement for about a minute or so before it restores. This is annoying for me since I often end up hearing it all.

After a couple of trips without internet access, and the normal internet on our phones continuously being disconnected it became clear that we needed to be prepared. My wife and I made a decision to be prepared for the time when our kids, our kids, won't have internet access for longer than 10 minutes. We came up with two entertainment options that could be used when Internet isn't readily available during camping trips. The tablet contained music videos and the most popular songs on it. The best Youtube MP3 converter was able to extract songs from videos and convert them into mp3 files that we could then download to our tablet. It worked with playlists too, so it was quite quick, even though it was being a bit long.. Plus most songs we already had on my laptop which meant it was only the matter of copying a few files. You can now play music, or videos if you feel bored. It's a great idea, doesn't it? The item does not produce any sound.
The second tablet was mostly a collection of television shows and cartoons we have downloaded thru Hulu as well as Netflix apps with offline storage for later watching. The quality may not be great however it's a lot of fun. We have several seasons on Breaking Bad there and many shows like Family Guy and Disenchantment. It's very enjoyable. Additionally, it was easy. All you needed to do was download the applications and then enable downloading to watch offline. After you've downloaded episodes, mark them as available for download, and you can forget about it. Tablet 2 came in one or 2 times following tablet 1, but once it joined the group at The Wild, my kids couldn't stop using it to stream shows and play with it for gaming. I personally added some DIY vides there like putting up the tent and skinning fresh caught fish.. You won't be able to find these tasks in the city. Some of these videos came from Youtube and converted into mp4 that I downloaded onto my tablet. It's easier to store videos on your tablet when you're working and don't want to wait for video to stream.
These two tricks have kept our kids entertained on four family camping excursions. They're not afraid of leaving the house anymore - they know tablet 2 can aid them in getting through their boring afternoons and then return home with it when they're ready. I've never felt happier. It's truly everything I've ever wanted, to be close to my loved ones.
