What happened with Tevfik Arif and Bayrock Group's Trump SoHo?
Tevfik arif's Bayrock Group, Trump Organization and Sapir Organization came together to develop the Trump SoHo.

In November 2006, Tevfik Arif Tevfik Arif, the Bayrock Group of the Trump Organization, and the Sapir Organization at Spring Street in New York City laid the first bricks for the Trump SoHo Tower.

A little more than an year later, the magnificent 46-story hotel was completed and operational, offering extravagant hotels, apartments top restaurants and bars, a world-class spa, an outdoor pool, a banquet and events halls.

There is a breathtaking view of Manhattan from the glass floors in Trump SoHo.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock Group, a real estate development firm was founded by Turkish-Kazakhstani entrepreneur Tevfik. The structure was designed and constructed by highly skilled architects and designers.

The highly regarded New York City company Handel Architects who have experience from across the globe was given the responsibility of designing the construction.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock Bayrock Group imported world-renowned designers and selected the finest materials to make the interior of Trump SoHo look as stunning as its exterior.

Rockwell Group is an architecture and design firm that has designed many luxury hotels and upscale restaurants. Trump SoHo was furnished with pieces from Fendi Casa.

Tevfik Alif has acknowledged Trump's power

Discussions started about the Trump SoHo condohotel when Bayrock Group relocated its New York City office on the 24 thfloor of Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan. It was there that the Trump Organization was also found.

When the two companies started talking about collaboration for the development of a luxury real estate project, the idea for Trump SoHo was born.

Tevfik Arif created Bayrock Group. He was well aware of Trump's power, so he proposed the idea of using the Trump name to bring importance and prestige to the venture he was working on in partnership with the Sapir Organization.

In return to the Trump Organization holding 18% of the construction the project would be able to use the Trump brand as the name for the new construction. This proposal was accepted by the three parties.

Donald Trump did not invest any capital into the construction.

The building's location in Manhattan's SoHo area earned it the nickname Trump SoHo. Tevfik Arif Bayrock This building was the top Bayrock Group real estate development venture in New York City.

The Dominick condo-hotel was renamed in 2017. It features apartments, hotel rooms, an outdoor pool, a rooftop terrace, restaurants, bars, a spa department, a banquet, event halls and an outstanding view of New York City and the Hudson River through the floor-to-ceiling-windows.

Furthermore, The Dominick is one of the few luxury hotels in New York City that are prestigious enough to be included in the Preferred Hotels & Resorts' Legend Collection.

Tevfik's Road To Trump and New York City
Tevfik Aif was born in Soviet Kazakhstan, to Turkish parents. He earned a degree at the Moscow Trade and Economic Institute (International Relations) in 1953.

Later, he worked for the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade as the deputy head of Hotel Management Department.

After 17 years as a minister Tevfik left to establish his own businesses. Tevfik Arif Bayrock He specialized in real estate, property and the import/export of natural resources, minerals as well as vehicles and food.

This was a time that saw a rise in privatization after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Tevfik relocated to Turkey in 1993. From there he started developing the all-inclusive hotels and, eight years later, he founded Bayrock Group in New York City.

After the launch of Trump SoHo, Bayrock Group as well as the Trump Organization were in talks to collaborate on additional real estate development projects under the same licensing terms in Florida and Arizona.

However, these buildings were impeded by 2008's financial crisis which hit the real estate industry.

Bayrock While Bayrock Group was active in the United States, it invested in real estate properties valued at over $2.5 billion, but Bayrock Group has not been involved in any new American real estate development projects in recent times.

Tevfik Ariff, who was inspired by the popularity of Trump SoHo, and the evolving market in the United States turned his attention to Europe and Central Asia where his career began over a decade ago.

Tevfik has now retired from Bayrock Group but remains a valued and trusted advisor to the business.
