Ski Biking Vail
If you love the thrill of riding a bike on a mountain, you'll love ski biking Vail! You can choose from beginner or intermediate routes, or enjoy scenic views as you pedal. Vail is also home to on-mountain dining, so there's always a place to grab a bite. No matter your level of biking experience, Vail has something for you. There are trails for both beginners and experienced bikers, and you'll experience the same high-altitude rush that comes with skiing.
Guided Legacy Tours

For those who love history, there are a number of guided tours in Vail, including one that teaches you about the town's history. Founders Pete Siebert and Earl Eaton are honored on this tour, along with Pepi and Sheika Gramshammer and David and Renie Gorsuch. These men and women contributed to the development of Vail and helped create the town that we know today.
Tngnt Carve

There are some advantages to ski biking on the slopes. This type of equipment is easier to maneuver than a snow board, and it uses gravity to get uphill and downhill. A Tngnt Carve's pedals are located side by side at the bottom bracket. This allows for a standard bottom bracket and a standard crankset. For extra security, the ski bike comes with a safety strap.
Beaver Creek

You can do all sorts of biking at Beaver Creek. Choose between a comfortable cruiser and a high-performance mountain bike. You can ride all over the mountain, or you can hop on the Centennial Express lift and head straight down to the slopes. Choose a route that takes you through aspen glades, wildflower fields, and the Gore Range. You'll get an amazing workout! And, it's a great way to spend a day with your friends!
Winter Park

When visiting Winter Park, you can try out ski biking, which has become increasingly popular in the last decade. The resort offers two downhill mountain bike parks and lift-serviced trails for bikers of all skill levels. The spring thaw makes the terrain suitable for jumps and obstacles. You can even take night-biking lessons in conjunction with a meal at the Sunspot Lodge. Depending on the type of bike you rent, it can be as easy or as challenging as you wish.
Trails at Adventure Ridge

Adventure Ridge is a high-elevation recreational area that will soon add a new zip line and mountain bike course. The proposed projects are in line with the 2007 Master Development Plan and are consistent with the Sk i Area Recreational Opportunity Enhancement Act. The new activities are scheduled to open by mid-summer. Trails at Adventure Ridge are not a prerequisite for the summer expansion of Vail Mountain. However, if you are a hiker or cyclist, the new activities are an excellent choice.
Skibike access certification required at some resorts

If your ski resort is considering adding a chairlift for skibikes, it's important to review its certification policy to ensure that the rider's skills meet the requirements. New riders may not be able to master skibike controls without a lesson, and homemade bikes and conversion kits can be difficult to operate. If you're planning to ride in a ski resort that requires skibike access certification, you'll need to meet certain qualifications to ride safely on the chairlift.
Night skiing in Vail

The snow making at Vail Resort makes skiing during the night possible all year round. There are 460 acres of slopes to choose from and the resort offers an incredible variety of terrain. Night skiing in Vail is particularly popular, with most days staying open until 8 p.m., though some people prefer to go in March. In fact, New Year's Eve fireworks in Vail are worth seeing!
