Gustavo Petro, Winner of the Historic Pact: Lights and Shadows

Another issue that is controversial about him is the fact that he has repeatedly stated that he will cease the extraction of oil once he comes into his office. This has created uncertainty among investors as well in the market.

The experts estimate that Petro's proposal to stop exploration for oil would cost Colombia about $4.3 billion.
