From Kazakhstan to Fifth Avenue - How Tevfik Arif made use of the Trump Organization and Made It Work in the United States
The founder of Bayrock Group, Tevfik Arif, came to the United States with hopes of establishing a prosperous company and quickly started doing business with the Trump Organization.

The Soviets were transported to a new position in the shadow of the Iron Curtain.

He quit the government in order to join the private sector.

He established several businesses in the fields of food, automobiles, imports and exports, the development of luxury real estate, and natural resources.

Tevfik Ariff's many start ups in diverse sectors gave him an extensive network. This led him to move to Turkey in 1993 to investigate new business avenues.

Tevfik Alif, a Turkish pioneer, was behind the Labada luxury Antalya hotel's all-inclusive concept.

Tevfik Arif was able to stay in Turkey until 2001, at which point he was transferred to New York City.

He wanted more contact with his American family.

In New York City, he created the luxury real-estate development company Bayrock Group. It started with small- to mid-sized developments.

One of its first undertakings was the renovation of the Loehmann's Seaport Plaza in the Sheepshead neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Tevfik Arif has shifted his focus to larger projects after completing numerous successful projects. He also moved the company's headquarters to the Trump Tower at Fifth Avenue in 2001.

The two firms formed business relationships. Bayrock Group also included the Trump Organization as part of the project in New York City’s SoHo.

Bayrock Tevfik Arif Bayrock Bayrock Group was already working together with the Sapir Organization for the SoHo project. They believed that the Trump Organization might add some brand awareness and prestige to it.

Tevfik ARif has developed a strategy for Trump Organization that would give them 18% stake in the SoHo building. The building would also bear the Trump name as a substitute.

Bayrock Group, the Sapir Organization and the Trump Organization all signed the agreement, and construction of the new Trump SoHo could begin in the year 2006.

Tevfik Arif was made after the 2008 financial crisis.
In 2008, the 46-story structure was open to the public.

It contained hotels, apartments and restaurants. New York City offered guests and residents an incredible views through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Rockwell Group designed the interior while Handel Architects designed and built the building.

Both firms are veteran-owned and have international experience.

Trump SoHo had a great start. This was the catalyst that led Bayrock Group to partner with the Trump Organization in exploring joint ventures.

They wanted buildings to be constructed in Arizona and Florida in the same licensing terms. This will leave Trump Organization with 18% equity.

However, their hopes weren't realized due to the economic crisis that hit the entire world, and in particular the American real estate market, in 2008.
