How to utilize Youtube to discover music that's trending, hot and popular in other countries?

This question was on my mind for a long time. Living in the USA I am totally immersed in the pop music culture. Slippers worn by Dua Lipa as well as Kanye west's dwarfed wife are just some of the examples. Pop culture is my passion and I love the people involved. I think I would be an ideal host for one of these Gossip & Hollywood information-talk shows. They showcase celebrities in their underwear. Then they shift to hosts with less fame before ending with flashbacks from the past and rumors of sightings, or even starts with rumors that haven't occurred since quite some time. I'd share all the news and gossip with enthusiasm, love and passion, while current hosts just scratch their heads and don't be able to relate to it.

I've been trying to include more music from different countries in the listening pool. I am just getting to know what music is very popular in different countries. I began by looking at some European monoliths like Germany, UK France, Sweden Spain, Portugal and Spain. After hours of watching Youtube videos, I was convinced I was an expert and that it could provide me any information I desired. However, not so simple.. The most one can see is the current and hot songs in their local area or even their nation. And so I tried other websites that contain the top 20 most popular songs on Youtube for their nation.. There were a few that did, but the majority of it was outdated and nobody wants to write about the popular songs each week. This is meant for TV. Hit-parades or stuff like that.


Then I went on to look.. After literally months of no to very little successes, but not being able to find a current and up-to-date source of the latest and most popular songs from different nations, I was about to quit. The most effective way to connect to the Internet was to use a Firefox proxy plugin (usually FF has more plugins that developers like and I'm sure they do). This would enable me to browse Youtube as if I were in Spain or Germany. Although it was not reliable as such connections can go down or slow down however, I was able to find a method to achieve this. I was frustrated by the very limited number of countries and the need to locate reliable sources.

It was the Top 20 Youtube most popular videos page. As promised, on demand , it would download around two dozen currently trending music videos on Youtube and display the USA chart first.. Then , I switched the interface language, selected German and then the Top 20 most watched videos once more. My surprise was when Top 20 trending German music videos loaded.. My eyes were tearing up, I've scoured 25 different languages that site offers, and every one delivered new top 20 tracks that are popular and hot for the language, and countries that have it as a major and I'm guessing..
