It's with certainty that instant replay has improved the game of baseball. Espn reported that in 2021, there were 1305 calls questioned by managers and the umpires had to overturn 605 bad calls. That was a total of 50.5% of calls by umpires were incorrect. That figure alone should stand on its merits that baseball has to have instant replay. They must keep instant replay not only for the players but also for the fans. The time to review a managers call has also decreased by about 25 seconds. This has also helped the speed of the game. There is a new feature this year where they announce the results of the replay over the public announcement system. This keeps the fans at the game, and the viewer at home, and why the alled is being overturned by the umpire. There will never be a reason for instant replay will always be a permanent part of the game.
