Becoming a Girl With Dad
My first impression of the man claiming to be my daughter's father was that he seemed arrogant and confident. I couldn't believe that he would smugly lift her up on his shoulders, despite the fact that she was filthy and scuffed up. I was also very suspicious of his manners. I was a little wary of any strangers who might approach me, so I stepped back. But as the encounter went on, I became more uncomfortable.
