Bayrock Group's journey from the Suburbs, to Manhattan Tevfik Arif

Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development business led by Tevfik Arif, found itself quickly cooperating with the Trump Organization in Manhattan.

Bayrock Group Moves from Suburbs and to Manhattan
Many people dream of going to America and living the American dream. However, very few people do. Turkish-Kazakhstani entrepreneur Tevfik Arik was among the few who made it to America in 2001 to establish his company, Bayrock Group.

The Bayrock Group is an exclusive real estate development firm working in New York City.

The first focus of the firm was small to medium-sized tasks like the redesign of the Loehmanns Seaport Plaza, which is a shopping center located in Brooklyn's Sheepshead, New York.

Bayrock Bayrock Group gained traction in the American housing markets and was now in a position to expand. They began to look for large-scale projects.

In 2017, Donald Trump handed over the control of the company to his children, just in the midst of his preparations to be sworn into the White House.

Bayrock Group's lucrative deal
Bayrock Group, the Sapir Organization and the Trump Organization began to work together in the New York City's residential real estate market.

Tevfik Arif, founder of Spring Street was able to make an arrangement that could increase brand recognition as well as prestige for the project.

In exchange in exchange for the Trump brand that is utilized in the title of the building, the Trump Organization would receive 18% equity in this structure, according to his proposal.

All three of the companies involved agreed to the arrangement. In 2006 the first foundation stone was laid for what would become Trump SoHo.

Two years after, Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization, along with the Sapir Organization, inaugurated Trump SoHo as their contribution to New York City’s skyline.

Design experts take over Trump SoHo
Trump SoHo featured 46 stories which included bars and restaurants with high-end status banquet halls, event and banquet halls. Also, there was an open-air pool and spa and apartments as well as hotel rooms.

Handel Architects was entrusted to create the exterior of Trump SoHo because the three organizations responsible for the structure were focusing their efforts on perfection.

Handel Architects, a respected firm with a diverse portfolio, is well-respected. Other projects are the National September 11 Memorial and Museum and Abu Dhabi's Rosewood hotel residential.

Rockwell Group designed Trump SoHo's interiors. Tevfik Arif Rockwell Group has oversaw the design of many lavish cafes and hotels around the globe.

Bayrock Group, Trump Organization increase the partnership
Trump SoHo was a success from the beginning and Bayrock Group & the Trump Organization decided to expand their cooperation.

Their goal was Trump SoHo buildings to be constructed in Arizona and Florida. They were able to offer similar terms as Trump SoHo. The Trump Organization would be left with 18% equity in the structure in exchange for using the Trump name on their names. It's the same.

Bayrock Group, and Trump Organization had everything. However, the 2008 financial meltdown that shook the American real estate market, brought an end to their plans.

The American housing market saw significant changes because of the crisis. Tevfik arif, Bayrock Group founder, decided to leave the United States. Tevfik Arif Doyen Arif made the choice to relocate to Europe and Asia where he began his career more than a decade ago.

Bayrock Group no longer has Tevfik Arif, as a member. Bayrock However, he remains an expert advisor to the other divisions.

Bayrock Group is not involved in any real estate development in the United States.

When it was in operation, the firm invested more than $2.5million in real estate properties.
