The online storage of videos isn't reliable. Sites can close or cease to function. Here's how you can backup your social video presence to your personal laptop.

My story isn't a huge one. I was born in the USA, went to school, worked, and then was offered my first online job. But it does contain several traumatic moments when I believed that my life was done. One of these was when the computer at my house suddenly stopped working. But, after some tinkering and moving the old hard drive to the new and installing a brand new desktop, I was able restore the entire work that was stored on the drive. It took me three days of sweating, and literally tears... After that I've learned a thing - to use Dropbox and personal ftp server to backup my data both manually and automatically. my work day to ensure that nothing could ever be deleted.

However, it's not the best option. The larger your online data storage, the more you will have to shell out to preserve it. It's very simple and secure. It is able to be downloaded wherever that the internet permits. What happens if WiFi or other internet connection is unavailable? I'm grateful to always keep my laptop with me to use during those times. It's my final safe harbour for backups. There are 2 drives that are connected to form a RAID stack therefore they copy one another and ensure that a copy is retained if one of the two HDDs fails. https://ytd.casa I only copy stuff there to ensure that my laptop won't fail.

Another big day of sadness was few months ago.. I make sure not to lose my work. As I mentioned above, I now have multiple copies and am able to access it from wherever internet is available. It was Periscope. I used it a lot in the past. I even conducted live streaming during the Riots of summer 2020. Periscope TV has now closed and all videos are scheduled to disappear in the next few weeks. What should I do? All the videos need to be downloaded onto my laptop to be saved offline. Those are very dear to me. It's the last time I've been hanging with my friend who disappeared from the radars during Covid It is it possible that it ruined his life..

It's a website that I utilize to download video clips from Youtube, Instagram, Facebook and many other sites. I am interested in politics as well as underground movements. So I film many live events, and save some for the future, and then publish them on Youtube. Each time I complete live, I backup it onto my laptop. This is the method I use. Additionally, it lets me cross-post videos across various platforms. It's not just to post YouTube videos on Facebook, but also upload that video to Facebook and let it become its own video of its own. As it turns out, I've got over 3TB of live streams I've created in the past 8 years. Periscope lives never cease to exist.. I find this website extremely helpful.


It's like magic. Start the Periscope video I want to download, then copy the URL from the share link. Then, I go to the video-downloader site, paste the video link there, and within a few seconds I'll be presented with a range of options for downloading video. I can save it to my desktop or laptop, transfer it to other platforms, and then save it for my loved ones. Periscope isn't on all websites. But, this site does offer Periscope assistance.

If you're not familiar with this, Windows can utilize the copy command to help combine these fragments and create a regular one-long video file. This is due to MpegTS, the format used for video that is used to divide the video into fragments. Also called transport stream. It includes all the information needed for video decoding in each of the fragments, making them independent from the stream in itself and allowing each newcomer to begin streaming in a seamless manner. It also helps save data by downloading 360 10 second files. It only downloads the streams that you are watching. The user will get 3-4 fragments of the 25-second stretch, and then 1-2 more fragments for if it continues to watch the stream. This lets you save lots of data by downloading just 25 seconds of video stream.
