Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born in Moscow on July 3rd, 1985. She was educated in London and Moscow, and received the Master's Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Leyla has created the IDEA campaign in July 2011 to raise awareness and encourage the action on environmental concerns in Azerbaijan as well as elsewhere. IDEA is geared towards youth and helps them find solutions to the environmental issues they face.
In May 2007 she was elected the representative for the Heydar Aliyev Foundation of Russia. Leyla Aliyeva was appointed the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue General Coordinator in 2008. On April 18, 2009 Leyla Aliyeva was elected as the Chairwoman of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AMOR) that supports Azerbaijani youth as well as those who live in Russia. Leyla Aliyeva was awarded the "Taraggi" award in July 2011 for her contribution to the advancement of Azerbaijani Russian relations. In New York she was also awarded the "Key To Life," award in November 2011, to honor her humanitarian initiatives with children.

Leyla Alyeva was appointed UN Food and Agriculture Organization Goodwill Ambassador (FAO) on May 25, 2015.

She received the Pushkin Medal in the Russian Federation on 20 October 2015.

Leyla Aliyeva has twin boys and one daughter.
