There are many reasons behind communication issues. They are usually related to our individual personas. The Halves don't want to give up anything less than staring at each other from a zero distance for the rest of their lives. Their desire to be one with their spouse and form a unit will only be fulfilled by things that aren't as intimate.

An interesting distinction between the two types of people is the choice to let go of the person you are with. Someone who is no longer chemistry-wise with the full circle will be let go naturally by the whole circle. The half-circle type will however redefine what it means to have the same chemistry as their partners. They will say that they're 'holding onto this B..ST..RD until they are able to replace him with a better version.
Imagine the incredible dance between a "half-a circle" and the full circle. So he fixes this zone-invasion-problem by making a gentle step backward. Problem is, he made the Half step out of his comfortable area ...... The Half is aware that the Full made an innocent mistake, so he makes another step backward.. But the Half soon becomes upset and starts to make the same step.. They understand why, but because they don't have the correct language, they aren't able to adequately explain their madness and turn to the wrong places. It would have saved their lives if they had known the difference between half and full.
