Our biggest mistake is that, with no reason whatsoever, we nearly always assume complete alignment in the expectations of both parties without trying to pick our partner's mind to understand what his expectations of us are. One thing we do have in common is that our counterpart does not miss the chance to expand this expectation gap ..... We don't require anyone to alert us of the coming conflict.

There are many causes of confusion. They usually are related to our personality. Individuals with squares are likely to be misinformed by those who are liberal, while individuals who are aggressive will have difficult to align expectations with passive ones. But this is easy to spot - we recognize squared from liberal and aggressive from passive.
What if they were very different? There is a chance that there exists a gap in their personalities that we aren't aware of. It has never been discovered or been warned of or studied it. !

They'll attempt to live with their victim as if they were one of them and will not let go of the concept of living together. The Halves will never compromise their affection for one another. They will gaze at each one another in the same manner in the distance, and then rest. It is impossible to make them feel more intimate than that.
A fascinating observation between the kinds is the way they choose to leave their companion. The full circle will naturally release themselves quickly from the person he has lost chemistry with. The "half-a-circle" type will however redefine what it means to have mutual chemistry with their partners. They will say that they're 'holding onto this B..ST..RD' until they can replace him with a more effective version.

Imagine a dance in which a half-a-circle and a full circle are trying to make their partner happy. However, the Half is able to move two steps ahead of the comfort zone. This unexpected invasion into his private space can be somewhat daunting. So he fixes this zone-invasion-problem by making a gentle step backward. He forced the Half out of his comfortable zone . Even though the Half thinks that the Full made an innocent wrong move, and he graciously compensated by taking another step forward, the Half gets more worried and starts to feel irritated. They can understand the reason, but since they don't have the right terms to explain their confusion and head to the wrong places. They could have saved their lives knowing that one half and the other one is Full.
