Our greatest mistake is that we assume total agreement in our expectations, without ever trying to understand our partner's expectations. However, there is one thing that we nearly always can agree on: he does not overlook the chance ....to expand the expectations gap. And there is no one out there to alert us of the coming conflict.
There are many reasons behind communication issues. They usually are related to our individual personalities. People who are square are more likely to not to communicate well with liberal people. People who are aggressive may have difficulty aligning expectations with passive individuals. However, this is not difficult to recognize - we know that liberal is squared, and aggressive from passive.
What happens if they're totally different? They'll never realize that. Consider the gap in personality. Nobody has ever traced it and warned of it, investigated it...NOT even been frightened! !

Humans can be classified into two categories. There are those who are "full-circle', which is a self-contained person who feels completely at home by his own. It is true that he may need the support of a partner. Absolutely! It is all true ... He can still survive without the perfect partner. If he can find the perfect one then he'll be able to continue his life with his full circle partner.
Half-a-circle-shaped people comprise the remaining half of humanity. Once they've found the grumpy creature and they are determined to keep it go. They'll try to live with the victim as if were one of them, and will not let go of the idea of living together. The Halves will never sacrifice their love for each other. They will stare at each with the same gaze in the distance, and then remainder of the time. They'll never settle for anything less intimate to meet their need to join with their other half to create a whole.
A fascinating observation about the two types: the choice to let go of a partner. The entire circle would typically let go of a person with whom he has lost chemistry very quickly. Half-circles, on the other hand will redefine the meaning of 'having mutual chemistry with their partner and say 'I'm holding on to this B..ST..RD, , until I am able to replace him with an appropriate upgrade'.
Imagine the amazing dance happening in the moment two people, a "half-a-circle" and an "full-circle" attempt to impress the other's partner, but not aware of their different geometries: the Half joyfully moves two steps ahead and over the comfortable zone of the Full, who find this unexpected invasion into his own personal space a little too frightening. So he fixes this zone-invasion-problem by making a gentle step backward. The issue is that he took half of his comfort zone .... and while the Half was sure the Full had made an innocent mistake and the Full was sure of it, the Half gets annoyed and makes another step forward. They are unable to explain their pain and don't know why. They could have avoided their own misery in the event that they knew the distinction between Half and Full.
Although there isn't a single conclusion, there are a variety of actions that can be taken.
1. Learn more about who you are
2. Find out who your partner is
3. Realize the difference.
3. Respect that difference!
