I guess in that case you either have to know some more about things and portforwanding and stuff...sorry, I can't help you there.

The second option would be to just rent a minecraft server. I have one for myself and eight friends. It costs just 5 EUR per month. I can make vanilla disappear for a while and go on an adventure with them.

I'm using Mac. I created the server.properties file to change the rules. After I had completed the fourth line, I noticed that nothing had changed. I don’t know where to find my server.properties.txt file. I also don't know where you have the banned-ips.txt and the banned-players.txt folders.

Did you start the server and stopped it again? This should create them automatically...

Johni0702 added: You could also use the following command (copy+past); to paste into the console rightclick in it and select "Paste". It will show you a few IPs. You are usually looking for an IP that does not end with 0 and 1. Code: ipconfig /all > out.tmp & findstr "IPv4" out.tmp & del out.tmp

In my case my IP is 192.168.178.23 Here is what it looks like: Code: C:UsersUserName>ipconfig /all > out.tmp & findstr "IPv4" out.tmp & del out.tmp IPv4-Adresse . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.178.23(Bevorzugt) IPv4-Adresse . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.56.1(Bevorzugt)

All that I get is

IPv4 Address . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.8 (preffered) IPv4 Address . . . . . . . . . . . . : 25.130.208.111 (preffered)

Watchig explains how to make servers. He advised to rent a server. I recommend mcprohosting. There are many dangers associated with hosting a server in your home. 1 you can be DDoS'd. I suggest using good hosts, like mcprohosting, because i'm pretty sure they offer DDoS prevention. They are also very affordable, so you don't have to burn out your computer battery.

Why "Mc pro Hosting", why not peak "Hosting" or something?

Your LANIP is the first. LAN IPs always start with 192.168. The second one is likely to be hamachi (which uses IPs that start with 25. ).

Ah, but I already support my build team and don't need any more mounting costs. Also, I am trying to set up a LAN server.

I host a server with 1GB Ram at Govisible. The server is in Germany. I spend 5EUR per month to maintain a stable server for 7+ persons.

and they don't work?

The Barl-LAN servers are only accessible over your network. Ntzsw8 Anybody on your network, or using the wifi, can connect to your LAN servers. For a more detailed guide, see here.

Watchig that is a good deal. But remember, one player usually eats up around 75-130 megabytes.

BungeeCord allows multiple people to connect through portals or other means. BungeeCord is not a plugin. It's also very pricey. And you cannot host more then one server from your computer (unless you have a multi-homed machine). So servers like hypixels are hosted by McProhosting.

Be patient, my friend. Simply download the actual server.jar from mojang's website and copy your map into it. Just do the exact steps from the Tutorial but use the map you got in your old server.
