My personal story isn't one with any depth. I was born, went to college, and worked until I finally got something online. There were moments where I felt like that everything was gone for good. One of these was when my home computer went silent... But after a bit of tinkering, getting new desktop and moving my hard drive from the old into the new one I was able restore the entire work on that drive. It took me three days of sweating and literally tears. But, I learned one important point: Dropbox and personal file servers are a great way to automate or manually backup my work from the day.
This is not the most ideal option. You'll have to pay more for maintaining your data storage online. It's very simple and seems to be quite secure. It's also easy to access and can be downloaded from any location with internet connectivity. What happens when WiFi or any other internet connection isn't accessible? It is very comforting to always have my laptop, as it acts as my last resort for backups. Two drives I have, which I use as RAID stacks. They copy each other and I keep one copy in the event that one of my HDDs is damaged. Since I don't copy a lot my laptop isn't very reliable. This is the reason I hope that not 2 drives go out simultaneously.
Another day of sorrow was a couple of months back.. I'm very careful not to lose the work I've done. Like I said, I now copy it many times over and have instant access wherever the internet is available. This was Periscope. It was something I used a lot a few years ago, and even during the protests in 2020, I did several live streams. But Periscope TV suddenly closed, and all the videos will be gone within several weeks. What do you do? I'd like to have all the videos downloaded so that they can be stored offline on my laptop. They are extremely important to me, it's the last time I hung with my friend who disappeared from the radars during Covid, appears to have gotten him..
the site I use as it lets me download video content from Youtube, Instagram and Facebook as well as other websites that have the bulk of my live streams. I am passionate about politics as well as underground movements. This is why I record lots of live events to save them, then upload some of them on my YouTube channel, and save them to my laptop every time it's over. This is the way I do it. It allows me to cross-post videos across multiple platforms. I can share YouTube videos on Facebook and upload the video to Facebook. Each video is a separate video. So, over the last 8 years, I have 3TB worth of live streams. Periscope lives aren't lost.. and this site has been extremely helpful to me.
It works like a charm. Open the Periscope video I want to download and copy the URL from the share link. When I'm done, I head to the site for downloading videos. After copying the URL, I hit the button that's big. Within a few minutes, I can see a range of ways to download the video on my desktop or laptop. For sharing it across different platforms, as well as to keep it safe for my family and friends. Periscope isn't accessible on all sites.
If you were unaware that you could make windows copy commands that allow you to put such fragments together and create a normal one-long video file. This is because of the format used by video for creating the fragments, MpegTS, which is also known as transport stream. Each fragment has all the data necessary for video decoding. This allows each streamer to begin streaming smoothly starting from the middle. The browser also protects data by downloading 360 10 second videos. It only downloads streams you are currently watching. The player will receive 3-4 fragments of the 25-second stretch, and then 1-2 more fragments in case it continues to watch the stream. This reduces the total download time to only 25 seconds from the beginning of the stream. mp3 free juice
