The issue of miscommunication is very serious. It's almost like a minefield. It is triggered within a few seconds after coming into contact with another person, and ends with an astonishing explosion...
The biggest mistake we make is when we believe that there is complete agreement in our expectations but never bother to understand our partner's expectations. We are almost always in total alignment with our partner , with the exception of one thing : he doesn’t take advantage of the opportunity to increase the gap in expectations . And no one is there to warn us of the coming confrontation.
Rami Beracha
There are many causes for confusion, and many of them have to do with our personalities. Square personalities are more likely to communicate in a misguided manner than liberal individuals, and people who are aggressive might have trouble in coordinating their expectations with those of passive personalities. This is evident - squared can be distinguished from liberals, and aggressive is a distinct thing from passive.
What if they're very different? They'll not recognize it. Imagine to yourself that there is a kind of personality gap that exists, but which we don't know about. It has not been found or reported on or investigated by anyone. !
Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to an entirely different kind of personality The FULL and the HALF CIRCLE personalities! !
Note : This is a guide to behavior. When you read the following analysis Try to figure out which personality most accurately describes you. Additionally, you should determine who your partner is in life. If you realize that you're different types - like Bono says, "we can be one however we are not the same" If you do, then you ought to be very happy as you might have found the cause of the differences between you. If, however, you are identical in your appearance, then I'm sorry that I'm unable to tell you the reasons why your relationships look terrible.
Here we are...
Rami Beracha
Two categories of human beings can be described as human. There are two kinds of humans that are the full circle type, who is totally self-contained and is completely comfortable being by themselves. Sure, he would like to partner with others and sure, he's always looking for people to share his life with. Absolutely! It's all true! ... However, he cannot survive without his dream companion until he finds one. He would like to share his life with his partner and is hoping to be able to complete his circle.
The other group is the "half-acircle" kind of people. Once they have found the miserable creature and they are unable to let go! They will move to almost physically join their victim in order to form one joyful circle... and don't give them this bullshit of living shoulder-to-shoulder! The Halves won't accept anything less than looking at one another from zero distance for the rest. Nothing less intimate will fulfill their desire to be integrated with the other half and create an entire.
One interesting distinction between these types is the decision to let go of a partner. Someone who has lost their chemistry within the circle will be released in a natural way by the entire circle. The 'half-a-circle' types however will redefine the meaning of having mutual chemistry with their partners' to be - 'im keeping this B..ST..RD, , until I can replace him using a suitable upgrade'.
Rami Beracha
Imagine the fantastic dance that takes place when a "half" and "full" circle attempt to make each other their partner. They're unaware of their distinctions. The Half takes two leaps in the air, way from the comfort zone of his Full, who considers the sudden intrusion into his personal space too terrifying. So he fixes this zone-invasion-problem by making a gentle step backward. The problem is that he took half of his comfortable zone .... and while the Half was certain that the Full was making an innocent mistake, the Half begins getting angry and takes a step forward. They understand why, but because they don't have the correct language, they aren't able to adequately explain their confusion and head to the wrong places. If they only knew that one is half and the other one is Full, it could have saved their lives ...
There isn't one conclusion to this essay but there are some action items:
Rami Beracha
1. Discover who you really are
2. Find out who you are with
3. Realize that there is a big distinction.
3. Respect the distinction!
Rami Beracha
In reality, there's only one conclusion.
