Best Minecraft Builds: The Coolest Constructions You Need To See

On the hunt for the best Minecraft builds for Java and Windows 10 edition? Mojang's sandbox game, which is a creative and innovative game, has been around over a decade. In that time dedicated architects and artists have created a dizzying array to delight your viewing pleasure.

Sampling the best Minecraft builds the game has to offer takes you on an all-inclusive tour of not just this world, but many - just without any food and accommodation. This list will take your to Middle-earth and Tamriel, as well as the RMS Titanic, while still allowing you to return home in plenty of time for tea. This collection includes everything you need to play Minecraft, just like our selection of the best Minecraft skins and seeds.

These are the best Minecraft builds:

Imperial Summer Palace Fallingwater House

The Titanic

Minas Tirith

Minecraft Middle earth

WesterosCraft

Consilium

Adamantis

Mage's College of Meridia

The Shining Maze

New Port Notch

Crafting Azeroth

Mondstadt

Starry Night

Elden World

H.R. Giger

The Cyberpunk Project

Novigrad

Witchcraft and Wizardry

Imperial Summer Palace

The Imperial Summer Palace is based upon many of Europe’s most famous buildings. It draws inspiration from Schonbrunn Palace (Venice), Versailles, and St. Petersburg’s Hermitage. It's regal, both outside and in, with its gorgeous gardens complementing vast, opulent interiors.

Fallingwater House

It just so happens that one of the most distinctive homes ever constructed suits Minecraft rather well - proved by the many reproductions of Frank Lloyd Wright's angular creation, Fallingwater. This tutorial will show you how to build a Minecraft boat.

This interpretation by Lilnekochan may be our favorite, but there are also these two by NovocainStain and the one Waterijsje created.

The Titanic

There are many Minecraft mega-builds of the Titanic, including this one from way back when Mojang's sandbox was in beta. However, we prefer this French version because it displays the most detail and colour.

Minas Tirith

There are many things that inspire us in high fantasy, as well as real-world architecture. This Minas Tirith rendering is an example of high fantasy. It is both beautiful and imposing.

It was posted to reddit from u/Cornbass. The community expressed their appreciation and also offered their suggestions: "Now, set yourself on fire, and jump off!"

Minecraft Middle-earth

The only thing that could impress us more would be if someone started work on a Minecraft build that encompassed the whole of Middle-earth itself, all those famous locations from the... wait, what? Are you serious?

Excuse us, we've just been informed that this Middle-earth project is underway and, despite it not being unfinished, it's already one of the best Minecraft servers you can visit.

No collection of magnificent Minecraft builds would be complete without something inspired by Game of Thrones. Here's just one small section of the enormous and awe-inspiring WesterosCraft server.

Pictured above is the city of Sunspear, rendered with a particularly attractive and very reflective sea surface. Check out King's Landing in Minecraft for more amazing work.

Consilium

The Dwarven City in Consilium, built by Creolucis is another example of how amazing a Minecraft map is. It's massive, and the dictionary definition for grandeur.

Adamantis

How does a Minecraft megabuild of sixty million bricks sound? Jamdelaney1 spent three months building the massive city of Adamantis. He really pushed the boundaries.

This gargantuan metropolis reaches up the side of a hill and is decorated with enormous doors, reflecting pools, and vast colonnades. It has nothing to do the 80s new wave artist.

Mage's College of Meridia

Adamantis brings to mind the Mages College of Meridia. A cool Minecraft build that Block Fortress put together last year, Block Fortress took its cues directly from Skyrim’s College of Winterhold. Perhaps it even surpasses the Minecraft Pottercraft Server.

The Shining maze

What better way to lose yourself than in Minecraft? This labyrinth was created by redditor u/Chris-P and is basically a Minecraft maze from The Shining. This is the hotel from Stanley Kubrick’s horror film, but it's impressive enough as is.

New Port Notch

New Port Notch has been a well-known Minecraft project in recent years. So much so that it even has its own subreddit. The towering city is the work of just two players: LG193 and ThatDutchLad. It is so vast that you will need its bespoke subway system to get anywhere.

Crafting Azeroth

Then there's Crafting Azeroth, the ongoing project to recreate the entirety of the World of Warcraft in 1:1 scale within Minecraft. It sounds like folly - a madman's dream, really - but it's progressing remarkably well and it's a true triumph of human endeavour.

Mondstadt

This impressive build was completed on a 1:1.15 scale and took the Skyblock Squad more than 400 hours. This faithful replica of Mondstadt's famous windmills will impress even the most casual Genshin Impact enthusiast. Incrediblely, this larger-than life version includes interior spaces such the Favonius Cathedral nave and Diluc's Bar, the Angel's Share.

Starry Night

You don't have to be an art historian to recognise the inspiration for this particular build. Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night is widely considered to be the most popular painting in the entire world. It's easily found on tees, travel mugs and bedspreads. It was only a matter that we would also find it in Minecraft.

ChrisDaCow made this incredible replica by matching every single Van Gogh brushstroke with his Minecraft texture packs in just one month. Their desire to recreate the famous post-Impressionist 2D painting on a 3D canvas offers a whole new way of looking at this iconic artwork. It's stunning, and it is a little scary to see in 3D. It's hard to not see Van Gogh's imaginary village as a starry night.

Elden World

Since its release, Elden Ring has elevated the Souls series to mainstream status, ushering in a new wave of fans. SeriousCraft’s Elden World is as much a love note as it is an actual project. Although it is an adventure map, it still deserves to be included on this list because it provides a stunning recreation of The Lands Between.

The six-kilometre map boasts over 20 different dungeons, including Stormveil Castle, and even includes its very own Erdtree. This build will allow you to play Elden Ring for 15+ hours.

A tribute to H.R. Giger

H.R. minecraft H.R. Everbloom Games, a team made up of professional master builders, has created a sprawling tribute that Giger's work.

These blocky reconstructions capture the spirit of Giger's work in a way that is unmatched. They include shadowed atriums and a fully realized space jockey seated in its cockpit. Space is a place where you can't be heard.

The Cyberpunk project

Although it is not a single reproduction, The Cyberpunk Project draws heavily from Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City. It proudly displays its inspiration. Bathed in neon, the skyline of this sprawling metropolis is taken up by towering mega skyscrapers and colossal holograms.

Elysium Fire is the creator of Cyberpunk Project, which is so massive it can cause crashes on older computers. We don't know what else will qualify for the top-tier Minecraft megabuild status.

Novigrad

Elysium Fire is also responsible of another mega build that is incredibly detailed. Elysium Fire's Novigrad, unlike The Cyberpunk Project's, isn't a copy of the Novigrad from The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. The team draws inspiration from the medieval streets and elegant castle towers.

We have to admit, as much as we enjoyed exploring its namesake as Geralt of Rivia, this version of Novigrad includes a hand-built harbour that puts its predecessor's to shame. For a truly medieval feast for your eyes, make sure you have the best Minecraft shaders.

Witchcraft & Wizardry

Even though you may not have received your mail, don't let that stop you from attending one the best magical institutions in the wizarding universe! The Floo Network's Witchcraft and Wizardry is an adventure build on par with the finest Minecraft mods, granting Minecraft Muggles the chance to become a student at Hogwarts.

Although you can take classes and study spells, the scale of this structure is remarkable. You can also access the school grounds and Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade.

These are the best Minecraft creations that Mojang's brilliant architects could come up with.

If you've been inspired to start your own server, check out our Minecraft hosting guide to start building with your pals. You can also choose Adventure Mode to create your own Minecraft village. Just be careful of the many mobs that roam the land. If you fall afoul, you may need the Minecraft recovery compass to retrieve your lost items.
