When I'm feeling bored, I love listening to music from other cultures. It helps me feel happier.

It's the truth. Sometimes, when I feel down, I go to Youtube to search for random songs and music from other countries. Certain songs make me laugh because, well, it'll be shocking.. Because simply different languages can sound funny to me. I am Russian and I was raised in Russia until I reached the legal age. Since then, I've lived in USA. Therefore, I'm familiar with a few languages, and I've heard some.. But every now and then, some languages make me giggle like a child when I look at their videos. The music is usually irrelevant because I listen to the emotions and words. French and Turkish Rap/Hip Hop are particularly entertaining for me. Russian recitatives, trap. Spanish hard rock. Chinese heavy metal. Although some of these songs don't sound real however, all countries and cultures go through similar phases, and music genres that flow across cultures can be found in many other nations. This is what I love to observe.. Yes there are some that make me smile, but it's pure joy and laughter. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone.

It is typically a sign of a brand new single. It is interesting to track the progression of these songs from country to country and become a part of the minds of millions across the globe. These songs are mostly skipped by me because I am more interested the local music and folklore that don't hear on American radio. Russian music seems a little forced to me. I'm not sure if it's because most of my life has been spent in USA However, Russian music always seems weird to me.. I don’t know. Sometimes it's just a little bit too superficial.
In the end, I am still a fan of all kinds of music from many different countries. This is something I strongly recommend. It's refreshing, and at times downright hilarious.
