Video storage on the internet isn't reliable. Websites may shut down or cease to function. Here are some ways to back up your social media accounts on your laptop.

My personal story doesn't have any depth. My story is not an extensive one. I was born, went to school, worked and finally got online. But, it also includes several traumatic moments when I thought that my life was done. One of those times was when my laptop at home ceased to respond. But after a bit of playing around, getting a new desktop and moving my hard drive from the old into new one, I was able to restore all my work that was located on the drive. It took me three days of sweating and figuratively tears... After that I've learned one thing - to utilize Dropbox and my personal ftp servers to backup my data both manually and automatically. my entire day's work, so that nothing could ever be deleted.

It's certainly not the ideal solution.. The more information you store online, the more is required to keep everything on the internet. It's very simple and safe. It's also very simple to download from any internet-connected device. What about those times when access to the internet isn't feasible? I prefer keeping my laptop close at hand for those instances. It serves as my last protection against loss of data. There are 2 drives that I own, and use as RAID stacks. I visit his website and can download videos directly from Youtube, Instagram, Facebook and many other sources. I am interested in politics as well as underground movements. So I film many live events, and save some for the future and upload them to YouTube. Each time I complete live, I back up the video to my laptop. This is the method I use. This also lets me cross post videos on different platforms. This means I can not only share YouTube videos via Facebook but also upload that same video on Facebook. This will be a separate video. It's astonishing how many live feeds I have made over the last eight years. I now have 3TB. Periscope Lives aren't going out of fashion.. It helps me greatly.

It works like a charm. It is possible to open the video you want to download via Periscope, Youtube, or Facebook. Copy its URL by using the share link. Once I'm done I visit the website for video downloaders. Once I've copied the URL, click the button that's big. Within a few minutes, I can see a range of options to save the video to my computer or desktop. to share it on various platforms, and to keep it safe for my family and friends. Not every site can help with Periscope, but this one is a good choice, it can handle m3u8 file formats that other websites usually download on your behalf.. Those work well, but don't get me wrong, but they actually use fragments of online video feeds which means that playing the file within VLC while it's fantastic, isn't really achieving the goal as the video isn't in your system but it's on the internet and plays from online as the player loads small fragments of video 1 by 1...

You can use windows copy to join these pieces and then create a normal 1 long video file. It's because of MpegTS the format used for video that is used to break the video into fragments. Also called transport stream. The video format used for the fragments is Mpeg TS. It permits new users to stream from the middle of the stream without interruption. It saves browser data, as well. Instead of downloading a 1hr file, it downloads 360 x 10-second files. If you only watch 25 seconds, the player will download 3-4 pieces. The current 25-second stretch is divided into 3-4 segments. This greatly reduces the total downloads needed to watch 25sec from the middle of the stream. - not having to download all 1hr of video before that 25 seconds..
