Mr. Grinshpun started out in business in 1994, working as Regional Manager for Kazakhstan at "Universal Market Association" which focussed on oil production and marketing of metals throughout the world. The following year, he joined Trans Commodities Incoration, and was able to hold the position of CIS Countries Manager. Grinshpun was regional manager for Kazakhstan in the "Universal Market Association" in 1994. The organization was focused on the production of oil, marketing metals across the globe and other business activities. A year later Grinshpun joined Transcommodities Inc. as the CIS countries manager for the CIS countries.

In 1997, he was named as the General Manager for the Moscow office of Trans Commodities USA. He continues to work in international business in metals. From 1998 to 2004, he served as an official on the Board of Directors of the JSCC Moldova Steel Works. This internationally rated entity is able to produce more than one million tons each year. Since 2004, in close collaboration with the honorary president of the JSCC Moldova Steel Works, he was engaged in the vigorous activity on the trade of products produced by the steel mill in Moldova.
