How to Set up Minecraft Server Kits with EssentialsX



Once you have installed the EssentialsX plugin on your server, follow these steps to set up the kits.



Step 1: Open the file manager on your server.



Step 2: Find and open the plugins folder. Select the "Essentials” file.



Step 3: Click here to open the file "Config.yml".



Step 4 - Use CTRL+F for a search for "Kits” within the file.



Step 5: Find the default kits within the file to edit or delete them.

The kit's title is the top line. This is what the user will type in when they wish to access the item in-game. The delay counter indicates how long it takes for a player to access the kit again. Once you have determined these, you will be able set up items for each of the kits under the Items section.



Each item has a unique Minecraft ID number. This number is followed by the number you wish to give each kit. You can also add enchantments to an item. To do this, type in each enchantment followed with a colon and then the level of the respective enchantment (from 1-5 depending on the item). If you want to name the item, you can add "name:(the name you choose)" to the same line. The lore refers to the item's description.

You can set up special kit with the items you need to participate in build or PVP challenges. For example, if you want people to build structures out of sand and string, you would fill the kits with those items.
