Do not forget your tablet or smartphone, and your laptop when you go camping with your kids.

It was something I have learned the hard and painful way. My mother was always there to remind me that I need to be prepared for everything. My excitement for the first camping trip with my grandkids, my children, was all I shared with her. She was all about my preparations, giving me tips and advice in every circumstance. I do not mind my mom's talking. Even watching her lecture can make things uncomfortable. Therefore, I attempted to conclude the entire thing more quickly than I was supposed to. And that was a big mistake, as I've figured out the following day... or two..

We left in the car, with plans to take it all to the campground. I was determined to recreate the rustic experience I had with my dad in times gone by, which is why I chose the most remote location, which was, it turned out, a no-service area. This meant that our phones weren't working, and we were basically the only camping in the region. I don't blame them. I was expecting an amazing vacation for three days in the wilderness, with nature.. But we returned to our cars to return home, within 24 hours of the camping trip had begun.

What did you do? There was no Internet, no bars, nothing. I carried my laptop in my bag, and it didn't even make it into my bag. I had created a backdrop for the trees to let them see the projector that I brought with my laptop. I was unable to access Hulu or Netflix and it was hard to bear their presence. All they wanted was to check their emails, text messages or school-related issues. It was just too much for me and I packed my bags to leave. My kids sound like little pigs enjoying delicious food after we came out of the wifi-less zone. Really... Do not think I'm being naive, I love my kids.. This was embarrassing. They gasped and mooaned when their phones started ringing and announcing the arrival of messages from text.


Since then, my planning and preparations have been improved and I strive to avoid getting stuck in an area without internet access. After an extremely long boat ride to the destination, I realized myself with my new most trusted companions which included two tablets as well as a laptop. They were equipped with Hulu online video downloads on one side, Netflix movies, and shows on the other. The laptop also has music videos, as well with some films that I have downloaded to watch later with Hulu as well as Netflix apps from the Windows app store. I have 600 hours of content, including the full seasons of Will & Grace, Friends, South Park and other episodes.

For kids I have a lof of videos of humorous things. video to mp3 converter I downloaded music videos from Youtube, converted some to MP3 and mp4 formats to watch or listen. Through this web-based application I was able download videos to my laptop. It allows me to view the videos offline using electricity (if required). I DVR a lot of shows, films and online seminar. I save these videos in mp4 format on my laptop, and afterwards play them using VLC and KMP or any other player that supports 4K.

4k is another thing that I insist on. Have you ever watched? It's fantastic! I recommend this TV. Televisions capable of 4K video come with amazing software that boosts the quality and enhances the image. The old video is transformed into a smooth and modern-looking video. Girls and boys alike will love it!
