Make sure you have your tablet, smartphones, along with your laptop on your camping trip with your kids.

This is something I've learned the painful and difficult way. My mother was always there to remind me to be prepared for any situation. I was only able to share with her my excitement of going on the first ever camping trip with my children as well as her grandkids. And here she was all over my preparations huffing and puffing with suggestions and advice on any situation that could arise. I do not mind my mom's talk. But not listening to her talk makes me uncomfortable. It was an error. I found out that the hard way.

We set off in our vehicle and planned to take it all until the campsite. I was trying to do the rustic experience I've had with my father in the past, so I chose one of the remotest spots, which, as it transpired later, was in a big no-service zone. Our phones were not in range, which meant that we were the only campers there, and no other campers. I'm not complaining I was expecting a great camping trip..

What happened? We didn't have bars or Internet access We had nothing. I brought a laptop and some games online. The bag did not come out of my hands. I had a beautiful backdrop to show the trees. They would check their email, get their texts, stay on top of their school and more. We packed up our bags and returned as I could not bear it anymore. My children sound like little pigs enjoying delicious food once we were out of the WiFi-free zone. Seriously... Do not get me wrong, I love my kids.. This was just embarrassing. They squealed and groaned when their phones began to sound a beep, signalling new messages on their phones.


Since then I have been more prepared and have tried to avoid an internet-less zone that does not allow roaming. On our long boat ride towards our destination I realized that I needed two tablets and a laptop to keep me entertained. My tablet is loaded with Hulu offline video on one side, Netflix films on the other. The laptop is home to all my music videos and movies. I have more than 600 hours of content which includes full episodes from the South Park, Friends, Will & Grace seasons, and additional episodes.

There are a ton of YouTube videos with funny stuff for children. www.converto I downloaded some Youtube music videos and converted them to mp3 format. I found this web app that allows me download video directly to my laptop. This allows me to play the videos offline at whenever I want to, provided I have power. I DVR a variety of TV Shows, Movies, and Online Lectures. The videos I save as mp4 on my Laptop. After that, I play them with VLC, KMP, or virtually any video file that supports 4k.

4k is also something that I am adamant about. Have you watched? Video is so clear it's incredible. I would recommend this television. TVs with 4K picture have great software inside the TV that process that image and enhances it. upscales it. The TV transforms old videos into something much more. Highly recommended to anyone, both girls and boys.
