Well, this is good enough reason for Adobe and other big software firms to not go into this segment, though there are many video converters on the market. Many of them are not supported and become obsolete in three to six months.
The best example is actually was Keepvid. Keepvid had a website that offered a special software bundle which included a Youtube video downloader. Within a few weeks the bundle was sold out and all lifetime licenses were wiped out. Software should be upgraded regularly. Youtube modifies something in the process of delivering content, and software has to be altered to adapt to that.
