The Shader Packs on Minecraft worlds make them look so mesmerizing. You can enjoy a lot of shader packs on M1 Macs as well. The apple silicon macs are quite capable, and you can manage to get around 90 FPS on Minecraft if you play without shaders [8-chunk render distance] and with the shader packs installed you can manage to get 30-50 FPS if you tweak some settings in the shader pack options. Minecraft roleplay servers So let's see how you can install a shader pack on your Minecraft world. We'll be using T-launcher.
Installing the correct version of minecraft:
If you don't have T-launcher installed on your Mac, then download and install it from here. If you are not sure about the correct procedure for installation you can check our other blog where we have the complete process of installing the T- launcher. After the T launcher is installed, you will need the Forge Optifine Minecraft installation. It is required for your shader packs to work.
Finding the right shader pack:
There are a lot of websites with a host of shader packs to download. You have to look for the one which is compatible with your version of Minecraft. Find a shader that has a low graphic demand so you can have more FPS while playing. T- launcher has many shaders on their website as well, you can check them out.
Copying the shader pack at the correct location:
After you've downloaded a shader pack, go to the Minecraft files by clicking on the folder icon on the bottom right of the T-launcher.
Copy the shader zip file in the shaderpacks folder. If you don't find shaderpacks folder, create one yourself and be sure that the folder has the exact name - "shaderpacks". Now start the game from T-launcher.
Selecting the shader pack in Minecraft:
After running Minecraft go to Options -> Video Settings -> Shaders.
Choose the shader you copied into the shaderpacks folder before. If you get low FPS tweak some of the shader settings which are available in Video Settings -> Shaders. Hope you have fun playing Minecraft!
