The Sacred Heart Church
Devotion to the Sacred Heart Church has its origins in the Holy Wounds on Jesus' side, which were discovered in the late twelfth century. The first indications of the fervent devotion are found in the monastic atmosphere of Benedictine and Cistercian monasteries. In the early twentieth century, the parish underwent a major restoration that restored the church to its former splendor.
