There are many different poker games. However, the most popular and commonly played are Omaha Hold'em. Because it is the simplest and most straightforward way to explain how the game works, let me talk about Hold'em.
The small blind is equal in size to the big blind. The blind amounts depend on the limit you are playing at. The blinds are used in Texas Holdem to replace antes. This gives the eight other players at a table the option to simply fold their cards for no charge.
Five Card Draw Poker is the most popular way to play poker at home. The game can be played with as many as five players. Five card draw betting card poker requires an initial ante, plus two additional betting rounds. Each player is dealt five cards face down, and may discard/replace as many (or all) of the cards as they wish during the initial betting round.
click here in Texas Holdem poker is the Flop. The dealer starts by "burning" one card. Next, he or she places the next card face-down on the table. These 3 cards form the flop. Each player now takes the 2 cards from his hand and adds the 3 to the table to create a 5 card poker hand.
Texas Hold'em is played over four betting rounds. Each player gets two cards, the hole cards. They also get five community cards that they can use for all players. It is the player with the highest five-card poker hand at showdown that wins the pot.
Round 1: Each player will be dealt two cards. Now the first round of wagering begins. The person to the left is the big blind. Limit poker allows him to call, double or fold. In a no limit poker game, he can bet as much or as little as he likes. Every player after the first player places a bet has the option to call, raise, fold or go counterclockwise.
