Youtube continues to show ads for my son who is watching baby shark videos and similar videos.

This is the question that I've been asking for the past two months since I began with my daughter's tablet with all the Youtube channels that are specifically created specifically for infants. The channels are believed to help babies with their development in cognitive, social and other areas and also help them socially and mentally. Well, I do notice my daughter is enjoying the content, she just continues to watch it, her smiles bursting, eyes shining, and giggles waiting to fly off her lips, I love watching her be amused. I'm not understanding the commercials. My baby isn't buying anything therefore why are you pushing ads, sometimes not even baby-like, on my child's Youtube channel?

The first reason is that babies aren't capable of comprehending commercials. It's a complete cost-effective and a waste of resources, not to mention the time and effort spent creating and playing this commercial advertisement (video) for a baby.. They don't get it! It's not possible to claim that they understand so why insist on showing these ads? If the father, mother or other child caregivers are watching, then the ads could help those watching? This is confusing to me and can be annoying.


Same is with the cat-related videos.. Recently, I discovered that my cat likes to watch these beautiful videos of cats. It's usually mouse or bird My cat stares at them for hours. Perhaps they are hunting. The videos are constantly interrupted by advertisements. What do they want to achieve? My cat does not consume these videos. For her, ads aren't relevant. Maybe they're hoping that my cat is watching the videos? While they might be partially accurate, I've noticed that I enjoy watching those videos of cats with my cat more often than any other useful thing.

So, I recently discovered an excellent method to accomplish this. It is basically boils down to downloading Youtube videos to my computer or tablet of my daughter and playing them directly from the device later on, like if I were offline and required a more robust copy to my hard drive instead of streaming them over and over from Youtube. What do I mean? I found this site that lets me save the video on my computer, instead of accessing it via Youtube every time my cat is looking for birdies. Now , I double-click the mp4 file from my desktop. VLC plays it instantly and there are no ads.

It works the same way for baby videos. I simply find all the videos that my daughter loves to watch, then download the videos from Youtube to my desktop , and then copy them onto her tablet from there. Although it could be just a few songs, I'll copy them onto her tablet. It's far simpler to access this site on my desktop computer and then drag the files to the place you'd like to. Or maybe that is my fault as an old school person I am...

Before downloading videos from Youtube became reality I needed to keep my tablet hooked up to the internet, either through a hotspot connected to my phone or sometimes I'd even get a special data plan for the tablet when we traveled for vacation.. Data can be very expensive when you are roaming in the middle of nowhere... So, my data usage went down three or four times. We actually started rolling over a small amount of data for next months, which is a total bizarre surprise for us. Normally, we'd be charged for overusing our monthly limit 2-3 times.. This is why I suggest to all parents of young children and pet owners to download your video clips from Youtube or other sites onto your device, then save them to MP4 format, and then play them later without any additional data use.

I hope you enjoyed my tips and hints for creating an information-rich home. It may sound somewhat absurd.
