He is the oldest son of elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. The LoveWorld ministry is comprised of the entire family. Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters: Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon has chosen to follow the route of her father in sharing the Word of God to the world. Also known as CSO, she is a gospel singer who has won awards and is a part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome attended Edo College and was awarded the scholarship of Bendel State University to study architecture. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Alongside preaching the Gospel, The Man of God also founded a number of NGOs with the aim of providing vital aid and hope to the poor, needy or uninformed. COFI is a partnership with five other organizations that have a common goal of raising living standards in the most underdeveloped areas.

COFI's umbrella covers the InnerCity Mission ICM (ICM), the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation /TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation and the Bible For All Mission.
