Pastor of faith, healer of the sick and author, Chris Oyakhilome is well-known to his followers as Pastor Chris. He is also the president of LoveWorld Incorporated. Also known as Christ Embassy. It is based in Lagos. His unique and inspiring telling of God’s Word has inspired millions of people around the world.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7, 1963 in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a faith-filled family with loving and dedicated parents. He is the son of the elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. God's grace was passed on to her son at an early age.

Chris Oyakhilome Biography The LoveWorld ministry is a family effort. His brother Reverend Ken is the highly regarded Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council as well as his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of top gospel artists in the world.

Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon chose to follow her father's example of sharing God's Word with all people. The name is CSO (Community Service Organization) She is a talented gospel singer and a member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. After a grant was made to study architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) He earned a BSc degree in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. Ambrose Ali University was the location where he sensed God called him to be a minister for the Lord.

While still in university The Man of God established what would eventually be the largest congregation in the world. It started with the formation of a small prayer group known as 'Youth for Christ'. The group would later become the foundation for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy as well as eventually millions of followers across the globe.

The LoveWorld ministry, under the leadership of Chris the pastor, Chris was an early pioneer in satellite television as well as Christian television programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station that broadcast from Africa to the the world 24/7 all the time on free-to-air channels. Today, LoveWorld television stations are available on satellite and cable networks around the world.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria and also South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The ministry has two healing schools that are located in South Africa.

Music and Gospel Music are integral parts of worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches that a choir be taught by Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Many of these singing talents go on to have successful solo careers under the guidance of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

Alongside preaching the Gospel, the Man of God has also created a variety of non-profit organizations which are tasked with providing vital services and hope for the poor, needy or neglected. COFI is a partnership with five other organizations that have a common goal of raising the standard of living in the areas that are the least developed.

COFI's umbrella encompasses the InnerCity Mission ICM (ICM), the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation /TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups strives to improve well-being, health, and spirits, especially those who are most vulnerable.

His charity also provides financial support to children who are in poverty. Through COFI and The InnerCity Mission, Pastor Chris believes in the importance of establishing strong foundations of community by promoting good governance, accountable leadership, as well as sustainable development throughout Africa and in other parts of the globe in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals.
