Chris Oyakhilome Biography: The Man, The Mentor, The Teacher and The Philanthropist

Pastor and faith healer, author, and television host, Chris Oyakhilome, known by his fans as Pastor Chris, is the founder and president of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, which is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. His distinctive interpretation of the Bible has enthralled thousands of people across the globe.

Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (December 7 63, Nigeria) was born to a faith-based family and loving, devoted parents. He is the son of the elder of elder T.E Oyakhilome. Angelina, one of the pioneers at the Assemblies, of God Church in Benin City, as well as the matriarch of Oyakhilome's Oyakhilome clan, who instilled her divine grace in her son at a very young age.


The whole family is actively involved in the LoveWorld ministry. Reverend Ken is his brother and the revered Pastor at Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church. He is also a part of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry, which has a host of gospel top-selling artists.

Pastor Chris has two daughters, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon decided to follow her father's lead in sharing God's Word with all people. Chris Oyakhilome Also known as CSO (Community Service Organization), she is a skilled gospel artist and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome studied at Edo College before winning a scholarship to pursue a degree in architecture at Bendel State University, known today as Ambrose Ali University, where he obtained a BSc in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he received a call from God to join the ministry and become a servant to the Lord.

The Man Of God was a student at University when he started the church that would soon grow into one of largest in the world. His small prayer group, called 'Youth for Christ,' would soon become one of the campus' most well-known groups. The group would later to create LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.

Pastor Chris led the LoveWorld ministry to become an innovator in satellite TV and Christian production and programming on television. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station that broadcast from Africa to the rest of the world 24/7 all the time on free-to-air channels. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Today, there are LoveWorld television stations that are available on satellite and cable networks across the world.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence throughout Pastor Chris's homeland of Nigeria. Two Healing Schools are situated in South Africa and Canada. There Pastor Chris hosts special sessions throughout the year that allow the manifestation of miracles.

Music and Gospel Music play an integral part to worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches have a choir trained and supervised by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. A lot of the singers have successful solo career.

The Future African Leaders Foundation is focused on continuing the work of Pastor Chris. It's focused on developing and recognizing the next generation of leaders and training them to be successful in the future. Pastor Chris invests in the young today to make them the future leaders.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a zealous philanthropist who founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation (COFI) an independent, non-profit organization with the mission to assist the poorest communities and people in the most impoverished regions and nations of the globe.

Apart from preaching the Gospel message the Man Of God has also set up a variety of non-profit organizations that are tasked with providing essential services and hope to the most vulnerable and neglected. The five COFI partners have a common objective: to improve living standards and improve the quality of life in the least developed areas.

COFI is accountable for the InnerCity Mission ICM for Children and the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC, Traumacare International Foundation TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), as well as the Bible For All Mission.
