Chris Oyakhilome Biography: The Man, The Mentor, The Teacher and The Philanthropist

Pastor Author, pastor, faith-healer and a television host Chris Oyakhilome (also known as Pastor Chris) is the creator of LoveWorld Incorporated. The company, which is also known as Christ Embassy is based out of Lagos, Nigeria. His unique method of interpreting the Word of God has inspired millions across the world.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on December 7 th, 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family that was a faith-based one, and was surrounded by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the elder of three sons who was born to elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her grace upon her son from a young age.

The LoveWorld ministry is supported by the entire family. Reverend Ken is Ken's brother , and a an active member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren (KattyWorghiren) is director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry. This organization is home to many gospel artists that are the top-selling across the world.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters: Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon decided to follow in her father's footsteps in sharing God's Word to the world. Chris Oyakhilome Also known as CSO (Community Service Organization), she is a gifted gospel singer and is a part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome studied in Edo College. He then received a scholarship to study architecture in Bendel State University. He also has awarded an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While at Ambrose Ali University, he was prompted by God to enter into the ministry and be an ambassador for the Lord.

The Man Of God was a student at University when he founded the church which would eventually grow to become one of largest in the world. His small prayer group, 'Youth for Christ' would eventually become one of campus' most popular groups. The group would later to form LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.


The LoveWorld ministry under the direction of Pastor Chris, became a pioneer for satellite television and Christian TV programming. LoveWorldSAT became the first Christian television channel to broadcast 24 hours a day from Africa through free-to-air networks. Today, there are LoveWorld television stations available across satellite and cable networks across the globe.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence throughout Pastor Chris's native Nigeria. The ministry has two Healing Schools located in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris organizes sessions during the season which allow miracles to happen.
