Chris Oyakhilome Biography: The Man, The Mentor, The Teacher and The Philanthropist

Pastor of faith, healer of the sick and author Chris Oyakhilome is well-known to his fans as Pastor Chris. He is also the president of LoveWorld Incorporated. Also known as Christ Embassy. It is headquartered in Lagos. His unique interpretation of God's Word has enthralled millions worldwide.

Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a faith-filled family with loving and dedicated parents. He is the eldest of three sons born to elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her grace to her son at a young age.

The entire family is engaged in the LoveWorld ministry. Reverend Ken the brother of Ken is the most revered pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member on Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM) which is where many gospel musicians are among the top-selling artists worldwide.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters: Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon, who is also known by CSO, has chosen to follow the footsteps of her father and share the gospel of God the world. She is a gifted gospel artist, a Grammy-award winning singer and a member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome received his education in Edo College. He then received an award to study architecture at Bendel State University. He has also been awarded an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He received his calling from God to join the ministry and to serve the Lord.

The Man of God who was still studying at the university, founded what would eventually become one of the most influential churches in the world. A small prayer group named Youth for Christ’ was formed. It would develop into one of the most popular organizations at the university. The Man, God, has created a number of NGOs with the aim to provide essential services and hope. COFI has five partners who are dedicated to improving the living conditions in the least-served regions.

COFI manages the InnerCity Mission, ICM for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps and Trauma International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation , and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups works to enhance the health, life and spirits of the most in need.

The charity also provides food for indigent children. Through COFI and The InnerCity Mission, Pastor Chris believes in the importance of establishing communities with strong foundations through promoting good governance, accountable leadership and sustainable development in Africa and in other vulnerable parts of the world , in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
