Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on the 7th of December 7 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family of faith, supported by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the oldest child of elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. She was a pioneer of Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City and a matriarch of the Oyakhilome families. She passed on her divine grace onto her son at an early stage.

While still at university The Man of God started what would later turn out to be the biggest church worldwide. It started with the formation of a small prayer group known as 'Youth for Christ'. The group would eventually become the foundation for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy, and eventually millions of followers across the globe.

The LoveWorld ministry was founded under the leadership of Pastor Chris. It is a leader in satellite television, Christian TV production and programming. LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa, 24 hours a day, on free-to air networks. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations across the globe.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria and also South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The ministry operates two healing schools located in South Africa.

Under the auspices of COFI is the InnerCity Mission (ICM) for children, the Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations works to enhance the health, life, and spirits of those most in need.

The charity also provides food for children who are in need. Pastor Chris believes that solid community foundations are supported by COFI and The InnerCity Mission. This encourages accountability and good governance. It also promotes sustainable development in Africa as well as other regions of the world, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
