If a seminar online has exclusive video content, don't watch them, just get video files instead.
This can be done even with live videos that are supposedly only available for subscribers. I have never been averse to this. I have extremely slow and intermittent Internet connectivity at home due to the fact that I am using a mobile hotspot WiFi from the motel in the next. I often bring water to their offices, and then I snatch their password that is updated every two weeks. I save money because I do not have to purchase my own internet. It's incredible how much work it takes to get your own home cable connection. I choose to use the Internet at the motel , and avoid that. This allows me to remain more secretive, as I can't put my street address on my internet address for any of the things that I do online.

Therefore, if there's an online event that is unique, such as from my investing advisor or the university that is hosting a lecture by an eminent person that's even more. My internet connection is slow, which means I'm unable to stream video streaming. It takes me 2-3 times longer to download videos to my PC which I'll explain below. This means that my connection is only 30% faster than what I require to stream videos without buffering interruptions and without lag. There's a method to bypassing this speed limit. Here's what I've been doing lately.. I open Chrome browser. Firefox. Safari. Or any other browser with an inspect tab. Click on the site to open the inspect page. After that, go to the network tab and locate the video playlist. It will usually contain the extension m3u8. Sometimes it may be something with another extension. However, those characters will be there which means it's a particular playlist for the video stream. The browser you use to download the files one by one and play them in sequence. This results in a video stream that is continuous. The process is smooth and needs more data transfer than the file size however this is the way MPEG transport streams are configured and it is not a reason to complain.



The playlist file is selected by right-clicking. I copy its URL address onto the clipboard. After that I go to the website to download the video. I type the video playlist URL in the input box, press submit, and I am presented with a variety of download options. They provide possible file sizes and the time to transfer. The higher the quality, the larger file will be. I would prefer a lower quality file because it's faster to use my Internet.
